4. Why do you think Ishmael had tears in his eyes? Ishmael had tears in his eyes, because he had never been so afraid in his life.
   
5. What was Ishmael feeling during the fight between the rebels? Ishmael laid there and was unable to shoot. His index fingers had become numb. The forest begun to spin. Ishmael felt as if the ground had turned upside down as if he was going to fall off, he couldn't think, but he could hear gunshots. He felt as if he had fell in some sort of nightmare.
